Louis Partridge Responds to James Bond Reboot Rumors
Amazon MGM Studios confirmed in May that casting for Bond 26 has begun under casting director Nina Gold. The studio says it wants a "fresh face" in their late 20s to early 30s who can carry the franchise for at least a decade, as producers plan to reinvent the character after No Time to Die.
Screenwriter Steven Knight has described the new lead as "better, stronger, and bolder." Names long linked to the role include Jacob Elordi, Harris Dickinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and frontrunner Callum Turner. Producers and director Denis Villeneuve have begun informing talent whether they have advanced to the next round of consideration, with auditions expected in August; the final list remains confidential.
One emerging candidate is Louis Partridge, known for his role as Viscount Tewkesbury in the Enola Holmes films. On the Enola Holmes 3 red carpet, Partridge addressed the casting speculation: "No, no. Not yet, at least.
