Louis Partridge Emerges as a Favorite to Be the Next James Bond
The search for the next James Bond is moving forward, with auditions expected in August. Denis Villeneuve has begun informing talent who made the next round, and estimates for how many actors will audition range from five to seven to "in the teens." One new name near the top of the betting lists is Louis Partridge.
He has worked with Henry Cavill — including playing a younger version of Cavill’s character in a post-credits scene in Argylle — and now sits among the top five favorites. At 23, Partridge fits reports that Amazon may be looking for a younger actor to tell an origin-style Bond story, an approach that mirrors the recent success of the video game 007 First Light.
Bookmakers currently have him alongside Callum Turner, Harris Dickinson, Jacob Elordi, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Partridge’s credits include Pan, Paddington 2, the Enola Holmes films, and the Netflix drama Jay Kelly.
