CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński announced on X that Lords of the Fallen 2, originally planned for fall 2026, has been moved to a Q1 2027 release window. He said the team "has identified meaningful opportunities to further refine and strengthen the overall experience," and that the delay will enable "the team to deliver the highest possible quality at launch." Tymiński also noted the timing will "strategically" position the game away from a crowded back half of 2026 that includes Grand Theft Auto 6 on Nov.

19. Lords of the Fallen 2 is a sequel to the 2023 title (not the 2014 game) and, like its predecessor, is a Soulslike focused on tough combat. The stand-alone sequel takes place 100 years after the original. A 2.0 update in 2025 made some improvements to the first game, and a full sequel could improve on the formula even more.
