Lizzy Caplan joins Noah Hawley's Far Cry series alongside Rob Mac
Lizzy Caplan will star alongside Rob Mac in Noah Hawley's Far Cry adaptation for Hulu, a press release announced. The actor's 26-year career ranges from Freaks and Geeks to Cloverfield, and her role in the series has not been disclosed. The show will retain Far Cry's signature standalone storytelling format, with each season set in a new location and following a new cast.
Based on the first-person shooter series, it was announced as an anthology; Noah Hawley is creator and showrunner, and Rob Mac will star and executive-produce under his More Bettter banner. The first Far Cry game debuted in 2004. Each installment places players in a different open world where survival is the objective and multiple endings are possible; Far Cry 5 is set in Montana and centers on a doomsday cult led by Joseph Seed.
Caplan broke through as Janis in the 2004 comedy Mean Girls and has appeared in projects including Cloverfield, Castle Rock and the Now You See Me franchise.
