Lionel Richie postpones two shows after onstage dizzy spell, hospitalization
Lionel Richie has postponed his next two concerts after experiencing dizziness onstage and being taken to hospital. Live Nation Chicago wrote on Instagram that the 77-year-old would not perform in Chicago on Thursday or in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday. “Under advisement by doctors to rest and return to full health, Lionel Richie has postponed his next two shows,” the post said.
The announcement added that Richie and his Sing a Song All Night Long tour co-headliner, Earth, Wind & Fire, will perform on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. “Lionel is heartbroken to postpone these two shows and cannot wait to be back performing for his fans,” the caption continued.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this causes fans who have tickets for these two shows. Rescheduled dates will be announced soon.” Richie has not publicly commented on the incident. He was onstage singing “Dancing on the Ceiling” Wednesday night in St.
