Brenda Harvey-Richie said the musician is on the mend after he was rushed to the hospital mid-performance last week. "Thanking everyone for their concern," the songwriter wrote via X Thursday in response to a news report about the 77-year-old musician's hospitalization.

"Lionel is OK and will be back on the stage." He was performing at the opening night of his "Sing a Song All Night Long" tour at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota, when he suffered a dizzy spell less than an hour into the show. Lionel was seen in videos taking a seat multiple times while singing his 1986 track "Dancing on the Ceiling." "When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your ass down," he told the audience.

The Grammy winner attempted to push through before deciding to take a break, and later saxophonist Dino Soldo announced the show was canceled because the hitmaker was "not feeling well." "He won’t be able to continue. Additional information will be available," Soldo said.
