Lexi Minetree channels Elle Woods in pink sequined Dolce & Gabbana

Lexi Minetree, who plays a high school–aged Elle Woods in the Prime series, slipped into a hot pink sequined Dolce & Gabbana dress for Prime Video’s "Elle World" event in New York City while promoting the "Legally Blonde" prequel. Pulled from the brand’s fall 2000 collection, Reese Witherspoon wore the original blue version in the 2001 film during the memorable shopping scene, when Woods shows off her fashion chops as a sales associate tries to pass off a seasons-old dress at full price.

"Is this low-viscosity Rayon?" she asks, adding, "with a half-loop top-stitching on the hem?" Minetree leaned into the reference, adding the crystal-studded belt and the Tiffany & Co. sterling silver dog tag necklace ($1,650) the character wore in that scene. Presented in pink sequin, the look also recalled the pink sequin bikini Woods wears in her Harvard Law School admissions video.
