Lee Cronin's The Mummy will debut on HBO Max on Jul. 3, 2026, with a broadcast on HBO's linear network the following day, July 4. The streaming date arrives 77 days after the film's theatrical release. Directed by Lee Cronin, the film stars Jack Reynor and Laia Costa as a married couple told their daughter, missing for eight years, has been found in Egypt inside a sarcophagus.

Once Katie (Natalie Grace) is brought home, the parents slowly realize something is wrong. The Mummy opened in theaters on April 17 and received mixed reviews, holding a 47% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It launched with $13.5 million domestically against a $12 million budget, earned $29.1 million in the U.S., $61.3 million internationally and $90.4 million worldwide, but a C+ CinemaScore and negative word of mouth pushed it out of the domestic top ten after a month.

Produced by Warner Bros. and Blumhouse, the film is not affiliated with the Universal Monsters brand but shares creative DNA with recent remakes such as 2020's The Invisible Man and 2025's Wolf Man.
