A brief clip allegedly leaked to Reddit shows the Steam Frame's Welcome Tour during the headset's first boot. The video says "Welcome to Steam Frame" and gives a quick overview of the controllers, how to hide and show the UI, and how to pair the device with your PC.

The Reddit user credits LabeVR but doesn't cite where the information came from. The capture was taken on a Valve Index rather than the Steam Frame itself, which is why the passthrough appears in colour; the Steam Frame only offers black and white passthrough. Naturally, it's a gaming VR headset, designed for that purpose first and foremost.

Once booted, the Welcome Tour overlays the user's Steam Library and displays VR games first. The interface looks efficient and smooth: turn the headset on, connect it to the PC, and start playing games. The headset includes a USB Type-A dongle that wirelessly tethers the device to the PC, with the signal sent to a dedicated antenna in the headset.
