Leah Williamson jets to Ibiza with partner after England injury

Arsenal and England defender Leah Williamson has been spending time in Ibiza with American model Elle Smith after being ruled out of the latest England squad by injury. Williamson shared photos from the trip on Instagram with the caption "IBZ" as she continues her recovery following a frustrating fitness setback.

She withdrew from Sarina Wiegman's squad while following a rehabilitation programme and was ultimately ruled out with a hamstring injury, with Grace Fisk called up as her replacement. Wiegman has said medical staff do not want to take "massive risks" as Williamson works her way back to full fitness.

The latest setback adds to a difficult period for Williamson, who has faced several problems since returning from a long-term knee issue. Muscular injuries have repeatedly interrupted her attempts to establish consistency, including a calf strain earlier in the 2025-26 campaign that sidelined her for around a month.
