Law & Order Season 26: Premiere Date, Cast and Where to Watch

Season 26 of Law & Order premieres Thursday, October 8, at 10/9c on NBC and will be available to stream the next day on Peacock. New episodes will continue to air on Thursday nights as part of NBC’s lineup. For the 2026–2027 season the network adjusted the schedule so Law & Order: SVU Season 28 leads at 9/8c, followed by Law & Order at 10/9c.

David Ajala, who joined the franchise in Season 25, reflected on becoming part of the series, saying, "There's something very, very special about being part of this franchise. Because when you're out in New York City, and you're shooting scenes, people recognize it, you know?

They recognize the show, they recognize the actors, and it means a lot to them, and they like to take photos and videos. And to be part of something that is so well-loved is very special." Peacock will stream new Season 26 episodes the day after they air.
