Lauren Silverman recalls pregnancy with Simon Cowell amid marriage split

On the "Happy Mum" podcast, Lauren Silverman described her 2013 pregnancy with her now-12-year-old son, Eric, as "one of the hardest times of my life." She said the period brought many emotions because it coincided with the end of her marriage to Andrew Silverman.

Silverman added that she does not regret what happened but wishes it had unfolded differently. She said she believed everything happens for a reason and that she knew Simon Cowell was the person she wanted to spend her life with. Rumors linking the couple first surfaced in 2012 and were denied, yet the following year their pregnancy became public and her then-husband filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage, saying he was focused on their now-20-year-old son, Adam.

Reflecting on that time, she said the divorce "wasn't a great situation at all. It was terrible," and that she and her ex now have a very nice relationship.
