Last Harbor is a co-op and PvP zombie shooter 'inspired by true events'
At Summer Games Fest a trailer for Last Harbor turned a quiet fishing moment into something much darker. What begins with the sound of a rod and reel becomes a co-op and PvP zombie shooter; tinyBuild says the game is "inspired by true events of spending the lockdown of 2020 on a boat stuck in the beautiful San Juan Islands of Washington state." The project mixes fishing and exploration with a persistent sense of dread: walking through quaint, seemingly abandoned town centers while trying to avoid other people and navigating islands "teeming with the undead." Survivors have taken to the sea, maintaining and upgrading boats and venturing ashore for resources, loot and sustenance, but every expedition could be their last.
Anchoring next to unexplored islands and launching a dinghy are part of the routine, yet other players can seize unmanned boats and claimed loot. There are safe harbors where guards keep the peace and players can socialize or rent anchorage to protect their vessels.
