Krysten Ritter to return in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2
Dexter returned in 2025 with Dexter: Resurrection, a second direct sequel that picks up after Dexter: New Blood. The series follows Dexter Morgan after he survives a near-fatal gunshot, wakes from a coma and travels to New York City to find his son Harrison while trying to avoid the Miami Metro Police and Captain Angel Bautista.
Season 2 has added several new faces to the New York-set story, including Brian Cox and Dan Stevens as the New York Ripper and the Five Boroughs Killer, with Bokeem Woodbine joining as NYPD Captain Mixon. Filming is underway and the season is expected in Fall 2026.
Krysten Ritter will return in a guest role for Season 2, though the nature of her character is being kept under wraps. She appeared in Season 1 as Mia LaPierre, Lady Vengeance, a sommelier who moonlighted as a serial killer; her prison death was shown in an ambiguous scene in which she was seen hanging in her cell after a corrupt guard framed it as a suicide.
