Krysten Ritter set to return for Dexter: Resurrection season 2
Krysten Ritter will return as a guest star in Dexter: Resurrection season 2, a press release says. Her fan-favorite role, the vivacious and voracious Lady Vengeance (Mia Lapierre), had appeared to meet her demise while in prison. The season finale offered a small but telling detail that sparked debate.
In episode 10, Dexter opens Mia's file in Prater's serial killer archive and finds her status listed as "active," leading some to suspect the bribed prison guard murder staged as a suicide may have been faked and that Prater's former assistant Charley could have helped her escape.
Uma Thurman is set to return as Charley, while Brian Cox joins the cast as The New York Ripper and Dan Stevens as The Five Borough Killer. Whether Ritter will return as Mia or in a new role has not been revealed. Michael C. Hall announced in October that Dexter: Resurrection would return despite the cancellation of the prequel Dexter: Original Sin and a still-in-pre-production spin-off based on the Trinity Killer.
