Nearly a year after its debut, KPop Demon Hunters remains a streaming juggernaut on Netflix. It sits at sixth place on the platform's weekly chart this week, behind the romcom Office Romance at number one. In the last seven days the film drew 3.6 million views and 6 million hours watched.

The movie has lingered in the Top 10 for a full 52 weeks. Measured by Netflix's 91-day metric, it is the service's most watched film: KPop Demon Hunters amassed 325 million views, ahead of Red Notice's 230 million and Carry-On's 172 million. Netflix is developing KPop Demon Hunters 2, with Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans returning as writers and directors and a tentative 2029 release window.

No official synopsis has been released, though rumors suggest the sequel will go back in time to explore the backstories of Mira and Zoey, and that it will deliver more animated fight scenes and KPop. The original opened June 20, 2025, and runs 96 minutes.
