Knicks star Jalen Brunson supports Mariska Hargitay at Broadway play

Jalen Brunson attended Mariska Hargitay’s performance of Every Brilliant Thing on Friday night. He and Hargitay posed backstage with their spouses, Ali Marks and Peter Hermann.

Brunson sat center orchestra at the Hudson Theatre, smiling as Hargitay narrated the play, which explores mental health, family and resilience. Near the end, Hargitay looked through a box and pulled out Brunson’s Knicks jersey, prompting a standing ovation weeks after he and his teammates defeated the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals 2026.

He slipped out of the audience before the show ended but returned backstage to give Hargitay flowers; the pair appeared pleased and later dined together with their spouses.

Brunson has said he looks for Hargitay at every Knicks home game, and after the championship she posted a throwback photo of him as a child with the words “You found a way” atop the image. He has also said he would love to appear on an episode of Law & Order: SVU now that the basketball season has ended.
