Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 was added to Prime Video on Jun. 1, and viewers have been repeatedly watching the over three-hour-long epic. The film has climbed into Prime Video's streaming charts and is the sixth most popular movie on the platform this week, behind Jack Ryan: Ghost War, The Pout-Pout Fish, Despicable Me 4, and One Battle After Another.

Kevin Costner directed the sprawling western, co-wrote the script with Jon Baird and Mark Kasdan, and stars as Hayes Elison, a gunslinger drawn into a family revenge plot. The first film follows various troubled characters on the American frontier who head west to Horizon to start anew, and its ensemble includes Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Ella Hunt, Jamie Campbell Bower, Michael Rooker, Luke Wilson, and Danny Huston.

After a long promotional tour and festival run, Horizon opened in theaters on Jun. 28, 2024.
