Kelly Osbourne on first Father's Day without late dad Ozzy: 'the ache'
Kelly Osbourne wrote on Instagram that she still finds herself looking for her father in ordinary moments — for the advice she needs, the joke she wants to tell, or the victory she wishes he could see. She posted throwback photos with the Black Sabbath frontman and added, "The ache of missing you is the price of loving you, and I would pay it forever rather than have never been your child at all!" She closed the tribute, "I will never stop missing you.
It is an honor to spend the rest of my life loving you. Until we meet again! 💔." On her Stories she shared a screenshot of a text Ozzy sent before his death, saying the video of her son Sidney in the bath made him happy and chased away feeling sick and miserable.
In the exchange he wrote that he loved Kelly and Aimee, wanted them to be happy, and was stepping back from music work to focus on his health. Kelly welcomed Sidney in 2022 with Sid Wilson. Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. He had revealed a Parkinson's diagnosis in 2020.
