Keanu Reeves in Talks to Star in Hybrid Lego Movie

Keanu Reeves has enjoyed a strong run in recent years, with live-action hits and notable voice work. He starred in the fourth R-rated John Wick film, which grossed over $440 million worldwide, and made a smaller appearance as the same character in the 2025 Ballerina spin-off.

Reeves has also voiced Shadow the Hedgehog in the 2024 Sonic film, played Johnny Silverland in the CyberPunk 2077 video game series, and took on Bruce Wayne in 2022's DC League of Super-Pets. Reeves is in negotiations with Universal Pictures to star in a new hybrid Lego movie that will mix live-action and animation, with Josh Cooley attached to direct.

Reeves and Cooley previously worked together on 2019's Toy Story 4, where Reeves voiced Duke Caboom. Warner Bros. released two animated Lego films in 2014 and 2019; the first grossed about $468 million worldwide while the second earned about $199.6 million.
