Katherine LaNasa says Dennis Hopper's ghost visited her
Katherine LaNasa said the ghost of her ex‑husband Dennis Hopper visited her several times after his 2010 death at age 74. The Pitt star, who was married to Hopper from 1989 to 1992, told W Magazine, "The ghost of Dennis Hopper would not leave me alone for a really long time." She added that she was the last wife he hadn’t been divorcing and suggested that level of intimacy when you’re dying might be something only a partner can have.
LaNasa described the first visit as coming "looking like when he was at the Academy Awards," appearing in a wheelchair and falling, which she called "super upsetting." She said he would also "come over" her in a sweat; when she asked him to leave, the ghost obliged and didn’t bother her again.
Noting an uncanny turn of events, LaNasa said she later walked an odd route home and found a gallery of his photographs, including one at the back of the room with him in a fedora winking at the camera, which she took as a sign he was letting her go.
