The Princess of Wales, 44, completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, a 24-hour endurance event that involves climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The hike covers 23 miles and an ascent of 10,052 feet, often in adverse weather and in the dark.

She shared a picture on X smiling broadly, wearing a baseball cap and a black jacket with the hood up while carrying hiking gear on her back, despite the demanding physical test. The mother of three was diagnosed with cancer in March 2024, completed chemotherapy and has been in remission since January 2025.

She wrote, “Cancer doesn’t just affect the body. It changes how you think and feel and profoundly affects every aspect of life,” and added that the journey “requires more than medicine alone.” She said she took on the challenge not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back, raising funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
