Kate Gosselin posted a TikTok Sunday that focused on her dogs and made no mention of son Collin’s forthcoming memoir, "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood." In the clip she updated followers on her rescue dog Koda and her other dog, Meika, while Collin’s book was making headlines.

Appearing upbeat, she said she had "a really cute video of Koda and the trainer’s kids" and noted Koda was away completing training. She mentioned the hot, humid weather and told viewers, "I think we’re under 10 days until we get Koda back. Can’t wait." The video also showed Meika running around her deck with a mop.

Collin, 22, has been promoting the memoir, which promises to tell how he "escaped and found his way back from the dark" and revisits claims of being held down, hidden in a basement cell and given powerful antipsychotics as an 11-year-old. He has taken jabs at his mother on social media, posting a throwback clip earlier that said he'd been "stood up by my mom … again." The book is due Oct.
