Juventus eye Alexander Sörloth as Dusan Vlahovic's successor
Juventus have identified former Bundesliga striker Alexander Sörloth as a likely successor to Dusan Vlahovic. Atlético Madrid have chosen Sörloth, but the two clubs still need to agree on a transfer fee. The former RB Leipzig striker joined Atlético from Real Sociedad in 2024 for €32 million, scoring 44 goals in 107 competitive matches for the Colchoneros while never securing a regular starting spot under Diego Simeone.
Juve are responding to the expected exit of Dusan Vlahovic, whose expiring contract will not be renewed after tough negotiations over salary. The former €85m signing is now free to move on a Bosman transfer and has been linked with Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Sörloth remains under contract at Atlético until 2028, so prising the 30-year-old away will not be cheap.
Juventus' sixth-place finish last term exposed a need for extra firepower; Jonathan David (eight goals, five assists) and Lois Openda (two goals) failed to impress.
