Jurgen Klopp named Al-Ittihad's preferred managerial target

Al-Ittihad have identified Jurgen Klopp as their preferred candidate to become the club's next manager following the departure of Sergio Conceicao. The Saudi Pro League side are keen to persuade the former Liverpool boss to return to the dugout after he stepped away from coaching in 2024.

Klopp ended a trophy-laden nine-year spell at Liverpool, having won every major honour available, including the Premier League and Champions League. TalkSPORT reports that Al-Ittihad view the German as their ideal appointment while recognising the challenges involved in securing a deal.

Any move would likely require substantial financial backing given Klopp's status as one of the most respected figures in world football.
