Jordyn Woods' 'lucky' Knicks bag boosts her fashion brand
Jordyn Woods has made a $125 tux clutch mini from her Woods by Jordyn line a courtside fixture, carrying it through a 13-game Knicks winning streak after it first appeared in the postseason on April 18. A Madison Square Garden no-bag policy tied to Donald Trump's attendance kept the purse out of Game 3, and when Woods returned it to the stands for Game 4 the Knicks completed the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history — a coincidence many fans treated as a winning ritual.
Woods launched her brand in January 2023, offering shoes, jackets, jewelry, and handbags, and her tux clutch mini — released in “Summer Citrus” and “212 Blue” on May 19 — was quickly styled as a Knicks-specific piece. She had voiced a superstition about the bag in a May 7 get-ready-with-me video, and the brand leaned into that lore with ads asking, “Are you ready to get lucky?” The company also made a shoe from the clutch’s material, promoted as a way to “double the luck,” and ran a “lucky giveaway” for one Summer Citrus model.
