It has been four years since Jordan Peele's last film, Nope, marking the longest gap in the director's filmography. His follow-up was originally scheduled for Christmas 2024 but was delayed after the WGA and SAG‑AFTRA strikes. Universal set the film for Oct. 23, 2026 before pulling it from the release schedule in September 2025, and Warner Bros.

took the pre‑Halloween slot for DC Studios' Clayface. Puck News now offers a positive update: Peele has finished the script. As with his earlier films, plot details are being kept tightly under wraps and no title has been revealed. Casting news and a new release date are expected in the coming months, and Universal Pictures will distribute the film as it has with all of Peele's features since Get Out.
