The 248th AAS meeting (joint with the High Energy Astrophysics and the Laboratory Astrophysics Divisions) will be held 14–18 June 2026 in Pasadena, California. On Monday, June 15, the special session “Everything but Exoplanets: The Transformative General Astrophysics of the Habitable Worlds Observatory” runs 1:00–2:30 pm ET (10:00–11:30 am PT) and highlights work from Cosmic Origins Science Interest Groups and Science Analysis Groups, with presentations by Emily Witt, Kyle Cooke, Sanchayeeta Borthakur and Jessie Christiansen.

Tuesday, June 16 features a hybrid splinter session, “NASA’s Big Science, Small Missions,” 1:00–2:30 pm ET. Organizers Swara Ravindranath and Emily Witt lead a program that includes FORTIS, BlackCAT, SunRISE, SPHEREx, the Landolt Pioneer Mission, and a panel discussion moderated by Swara Ravindranath with Drew Miles, Pablo Saz Parkinson, Joseph Lazio, Abe Falcone and David Ardila.
