'John Wick' spin-off 'Caine' adds Bill Nighy

John Wick: Chapter 4 largely played like a send-off for Keanu Reeves' assassin, with the film's final scenes showing Wick succumbing to mortal wounds. Spin-offs are in the works, and Chapter 4 introduced Donnie Yen's Caine, an assassin who protects his daughter and has been paying off his debts to the High Table.

Yen will reprise the role in the upcoming Caine, and Rina Sawayama will return as Akira, while Dacre Montgomery and Mason Thames join in undisclosed roles. The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Bill Nighy has also joined the cast in an unspecified role. Nighy's credits range from Shaun of the Dead and Love Actually to Underworld and Pirates of the Caribbean, and he had a small but significant part in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 as the Minister of Magic.

Caine marks the second feature-length spin-off after last year's Ballerina: From the World of John Wick.
