John Hannah Confirms Original Cast Reuniting for The Mummy 4

John Hannah says the original cast is returning for the next Mummy film, confirming Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are on board. "You’ve heard all the rumors and it’s true. Everyone’s back," he told Variety.

Hannah teased some "other surprises" and recounted a recent convention moment when a masked attendee turned out to be Kevin J. O’Connor. He also mentioned Arnold Vosloo was there, that Brendan came over and everyone embraced, and that O’Connor had stepped away for a time to look after his father before rejoining the group.

Director Stephen Sommers will not return for the new entry. Instead, Ready or Not and Scream filmmakers Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin will helm the project, bringing a fresh perspective to the series.

Previous films included appearances from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jet Li, though it seems unlikely either will make an appearance in this installment. Still, with many original elements coming back, unexpected additions cannot be ruled out.
