Jennifer Lopez was seen wiping away tears at her son Max’s high school graduation on Friday. She wore a pastel green floral dress with a gray cardigan, nude heels and carried a matching Hermès Birkin bag. In photos, Lopez embraced the 18-year-old, who wore a tie-dye shirt, tan pants and matching kicks.

She attended the ceremony with her parents, Guadalupe Rodríguez and David Lopez, manager Benny Medina and Max’s twin, Emme, who sported a red polo and blue slacks. Marc Anthony, the twins’ father and Lopez’s ex-husband, was not seen at the event.

Lopez has spoken openly about the emotional milestone. On Jimmy Kimmel Live! she said she had been “crying for two months” ahead of Emme’s graduation and that her main goal is to see the twins “be happy and go where they want to go and do what they want to do.” On Watch What Happens Live she added that she avoids spoiling her children by setting a good example and that they want their “own path.”
