Jenna Bush Hager recalls tennis heckling that horrified Barbara Bush

On Thursday’s episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, Jenna Bush Hager said she is competitive and “likes performance around competition.” She recalled a family tennis match when, as a full adult, she was “doing the worm and yelling, ‘Not today!’” Her father, George W.

Bush, found the antics funny and would quip, “That’s my girl!” Her late grandparents, however, were not amused. Bush Hager said her grandfather believed strongly in sportsmanship — being kind and humble — and that her behavior rubbed her grandmother the wrong way.
