Jen-Hsun says RTX Spark '100% awesome' at everything PCs do

At a press Q&A, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang described the new RTX Spark SoC as "100% awesome." The chip, built in partnership with MediaTek, combines a custom Arm core with an Nvidia RTX Blackwell GPU, connects via NVLink, and shares a pool of LPDDR5x unified memory.

Introduced at Computex, the SoC was presented as one of the event’s standout hardware items. Nvidia is pitching Spark primarily to gamers, though the company also frames it as the hardware to make a laptop feel more like a robot assistant. The platform was developed with Microsoft and targets Windows-on-Arm while remaining a standard Windows operating system.

When asked whether the UI or OS should change to encourage different uses, Huang said, "The good news is that this PC is 100% awesome at everything everybody expect the PC to do. And it can do more," adding that too abrupt a change in UX or positioning could make the transition harder for people who still see the device as a PC.
