Amazon MGM Studios has acquired international distribution rights for Jason Statham Stole My Bike and will release the action movie across several major territories. The film will be distributed by Black Bear in the United States, while Amazon's deal excludes the CIS/Ukraine, parts of Asia, some areas of the Middle East, Israel and the Caribbean.

The project reunites Statham with director David Leitch, known for John Wick and Hobbs & Shaw, and casts him as himself in a family-friendly meta-action-comedy. Plot details are being kept under wraps, though the movie reportedly contains "a number of major action set pieces" and presumably includes the titular bike theft.

Jason Statham Stole My Bike was given an official release date of Aug. 6, 2027, with production now underway and filming scheduled to take place in the United Kingdom and Malta. In some territories, Amazon's acquisition suggests the film could skip theaters and debut on streaming.
