Jason Statham Turns the Tide in New Look at Mutiny

Jason Statham returns as both star and producer in Mutiny, an action thriller set on an isolated cargo ship. The film is directed by Jean-François Richet, who led the 2023 Gerard Butler outing Plane, and positions Statham’s character as the force the villains did not expect to find onboard.

An epic poster shows Statham clinging to the side of a shipping container, while a new teaser finds him fighting in ever-more cramped spaces as he exacts violent vengeance on the high seas. The cast also includes Annabelle Wallis, Jason Wong, Roland Møller, Arnas Fedaravičius, and Adrian Lester.

Statham plays Cole Reed, who witnesses his billionaire boss’s murder, is framed for the crime, and boards the cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge that death—only to uncover an international conspiracy. After recent action outings The Beekeeper, A Working Man, and Shelter, Mutiny aims to be another pitch-perfect genre piece led by one of the era’s most reliable action stars.
