Twenty-three years after its release, Jason Statham’s remake of The Italian Job will stream for free on Pluto TV beginning June 1. Pluto TV often hosts movies for one month at a time, so the film is expected to leave the service at the end of June. The 2003 movie updates the 1969 original rather than copying it shot for shot.

Mark Wahlberg stars as Charlie Croker, Charlize Theron appears as a gender-swapped Stella Bridger, and Jason Statham plays Handsome Rob. Edward Norton, Donald Sutherland, Oscar Nunez and Seth Green round out the cast; F. Gary Grey directed a script by Donna and Wayne Powers based on the original by Troy Kennedy Martin.

The film was released May 30, 2003 and runs 111 minutes. At the time of its announcement the remake was dismissed by some as an unnecessary cash grab, but it went on to earn strong reviews, a positive audience response and a solid box office showing. Pluto TV is adding The Italian Job alongside other action titles such as Face/Off, Braveheart, Jack Reacher and Leon: The Professional.
