Black Bear has set Jason Statham Stole My Bike for an Aug. 6, 2027 release. David Leitch will direct and produce alongside Kelly McCormack, with Alison Flierl writing the script from a story by Flierl and Scott Chernoff. Statham plays a fictionalized version of himself and, as the title suggests, steals someones bike; principal photography is set to wrap later this week.

The Aug. 6 slot was previously claimed by Miami Vice '85 before Universal moved that film to May 19, 2028. That opening weekend matches the weekend Hobbs & Shaw debuted to $60 million in 2019, and at present Jason Statham Stole My Bike is the only movie scheduled for the first weekend of August 2027.

A Quiet Place: Part III arrives the week before, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem sequel follows a week later, and Tim Millers Shiver opens on Aug. 13. The film aims to deliver an old-fashioned, adult-oriented action picture amid a summer slate that also includes Man of Tomorrow, A Minecraft Squared, and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
