Jason Statham's 87% Rated Action Thriller Explodes on Streaming

Jason Statham's 2025 action thriller A Working Man has surged on streaming since it was added to HBO Max on Jun. 1. The David Ayer-directed film, which debuted last year, is the seventh most popular movie on HBO Max globally this week and ranks sixth on MGM+ through Amazon Channels.

It has been called one of Statham's best recent action films. Statham plays Levon Cade, a former elite soldier who leaves the military for construction work to be closer to his daughter; when his boss' daughter is kidnapped he returns to violence to get her back.

Chuck Dixon, David Ayer and Sylvester Stallone share writing credits, with Ayer directing. Fans seem to be favoring this title over The Beekeeper, Wrath of Man and Shelter. Critical reaction has been mixed: the film holds a 46% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audience scores tell a different story.
