Jalen Brunson jokes about joining 'SVU' after Knicks win

After the New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals 2026, Jalen Brunson quipped about his next move: "Try to get on, try to go to 'SVU.'" The remark came during a postgame interview captured in an Instagram video shared by the NBA.

Actress Mariska Hargitay marked the win on Instagram with a throwback photo of Brunson as a child wearing a Knicks T‑shirt and holding a basketball. The image carried the words "You found a way," and Hargitay added, "And you lead the way for so many," with congratulations and thanks.

Hargitay has portrayed NYPD detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU since 1999; the series has 27 seasons and also stars Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler and Dann Florek as Donald Cragen. She attended several Knicks games this season and was seen celebrating with Taylor Swift at Game 4.
