IXPE Cycle 4 Pre-Proposal Workshop — Register by 25 June 2026
A virtual pre-proposal workshop in preparation for IXPE Cycle 4 of the General Observer program will be held Tuesday, 30 June 2026, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Eastern (9 a.m. to 12 noon Pacific). IXPE, the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer, provides simultaneous imaging, spectral, timing and polarization data for 2–8 keV X-rays and has yielded important insights into X-ray production and geometry for neutron stars, pulsar wind nebulae, stellar black holes and supermassive black holes.
The session will outline opportunities to propose for the upcoming Cycle 4 GO program, highlight any changes from earlier cycles, and include presentations on user support services, data analysis and software tools, catalogs and other online resources, followed by ample time for questions and discussion.
Registration is open to everyone at no cost.
