Is Gojo Really Dead in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Jujutsu Kaisen made Satoru Gojo one of its defining figures, and his fate in the clash with Sukuna left many readers and viewers stunned. The anime has now reached the Culling Game arc—Season 3 aired in early 2026 for 12 episodes and a fourth season has been confirmed—so the decisive Gojo–Sukuna confrontation will be animated for anime-only fans later on.
In the manga, Gojo had been sealed inside the Prison Realm during the Shibuya Incident and was unsealed in the Culling Game arc. Sukuna, inhabiting Megumi Fushiguro, employed the Zenin Clan's 10 Shadows Technique to summon General Mahoraga and then used Mahoraga’s secret, world-slicing technique to cut through Gojo’s Infinity after luring him into a trap.
Gojo’s body was severed in two, leaving virtually no hope for a normal resurrection. Ui recovered and stitched the body together so Yuta Okkotsu could temporarily transfer his consciousness into it using a technique learned from Kenjaku, with Rika serving as an anchor.
