Apple has quietly discounted hardware on Amazon this week, including the 11-inch iPad Pro M5 with 256GB and Wi‑Fi. The tablet is down to $899 from its $999 list price, within a few dollars of its record low on Amazon, and the deal is available to all customers without a Prime membership.

The M5 chip adds Neural Accelerators for on-device AI that go beyond the Neural Engine in the M4. That enables faster, more complex local inference for Apple Intelligence features, sharper computational photography, and lets pro apps offload AI tasks to dedicated silicon rather than sharing CPU and GPU resources.

With 16GB of unified memory across iPad Pro configurations, the M5 handles sustained professional workloads in a fanless tablet chassis without the thermal throttling lesser chips would face. Its Ultra Retina XDR display runs at 2420-by-1668 at 264 pixels per inch, offers ProMotion adaptive refresh up to 120Hz, extreme peak brightness, and precise local dimming that the standard Liquid Retina display in the iPad Air cannot match.
