Invincible VS devs open to guest fighters like Spider‑Man and Sub‑Zero

Comics and fighting games often mix unrelated characters, and Invincible VS has so far stayed within the world of Robert Kirkman’s Image comic. The game currently pits series regulars against each other—Battle Beast’s brutal clashes with other Invincible figures are a clear example—but some players want to see characters from outside that roster enter the fray.

Game director Dave Hall and lead combat designer Bau Bautista told MMORPG.com they’re receptive to crossovers. "We're definitely not above that," Hall said. "We're always down for a crossover. I think it's really exciting to think about, and let's hope we can do some in the future, but nothing that we can talk about right now." There is precedent for mixing Invincible and mainstream superheroes in the comics, and the developers also called out interest in Mortal Kombat staples.
