Iko Uwais and Lewis Tan Face Off in Survive the Night First Look

Action star Iko Uwais returns in the new thriller Survive the Night, where he goes head-to-head with fellow martial artist Lewis Tan. The film is written and directed by Keoni Waxman and leans into no-nonsense, martial-arts-driven action. Uwais plays Paine, a hitman who fails to carry out a job on a rival crime boss and is forced to flee.

At a train station he crosses paths with Valeri, a pregnant woman trying to escape a violent past, and the situation turns deadly when Paine’s former boss — also the father of Valeri’s child — comes looking for her. The cast includes Michael Rooker, Eva De Dominici, Ron Balicki, Robert Ri’chard and Teagan O’Hara alongside Uwais and Tan.

Production is underway in Bangkok from Lux Angeles Studios, and the first-look images underline the film’s gritty, physical approach to fight scenes. Uwais and Tan reunite after their previous encounters in the series Wu Assassins and the film Fistful of Vengeance.
