Identity of NYT journalist exposed as a love cheat by Maggie Rogers revealed
Maggie Rogers said during a Madison Square Garden performance that a New York Times reporter gave her a midnight tour of the paper’s Times Square headquarters and that they made out in the conference room.
The man identified as the date is allegedly Times travel writer and photographer Stephen Hiltner. Breaker’s Lachlan Cartwright was first to expose Hiltner as the alleged mystery man, and Hiltner reportedly deleted photos of his vintage car from Instagram after the confession.
Rogers, who joined Rosalia onstage as part of the LUX tour, described a night out in his vintage car, “falling in love a little,” the late‑night tour and the make‑out sessions in the conference room and the car. She said the next morning a friend revealed he was someone else’s boyfriend and concluded, “That’s my story. That’s my confession. I mean, what a loser. You just can’t trust a journalist.”
A spokesperson for The New York Times declined to comment, and a representative for Rogers did not respond.
