Ice Age: Boiling Point trailer arrives for 2027 theatrical return

It has been ten years since the last Ice Age theatrical film, Ice Age: Collision Course (2016). That release came three years before Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, and the franchise briefly returned as the Disney+ spinoff The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild in 2022.

The first trailer for the sixth installment has been released online. The short teaser offers little plot detail but delivers the familiar comic beats long associated with the series.

In the clip, the cast of characters from recent films emerges from what appears to be a boiling explosion, and a slow-motion reaction of the characters serves as the highlight before the title reveal: Ice Age: Boiling Point.

The teaser states Boiling Point will hit theaters on February 4, 2027, marking the longest gap between Ice Age films since 2002. Producers listed are Lori Forte and Patrick Worlock, and the trailer features the recurring characters Sid, Manny, Diego and Ellie (voice).
