I used the Malwarebytes Ultimate plan as my primary security suite for the entire month of May and a bit of June. It was quick to identify and block threats, often stepping in before I noticed anything wrong, and it gave me more confidence browsing than I felt using Windows Defender and the free version of Avast.

Setup was simple and the interface is clean. The Dashboard provides fast access to the system scanner, VPN and Trusted Advisor, which raised my security score from 49 (Poor) to 83 after I enabled stricter User Account Control settings. Tabs along the side—Privacy, Identity, Tools and Scam Guard—make key features easy to find, and Scam Guard’s AI correctly flagged a pictured advance-fee (Nigerian Prince) scam and explained why.

The Identity section lets you enter an email to check for breaches and opens a browser-based dashboard for Identity Theft Protection.
