Hypixel Studios offers up to $25,000 for Hytale security bug reports

Polygon reports Hypixel Studios is offering up to $25,000 to players who report security vulnerabilities in Hytale, which launched on Tuesday, Jan. 13.

The payout depends on severity; minor animation or visual glitches and "game exploits or cheats that do not affect server security" are explicitly out of scope and will not qualify for a bounty. The Hytale security page lists the full criteria, how to submit reports, and how reports should be structured. Submissions that duplicate an already received report will be acknowledged but not rewarded, and you must be 18 or older to collect a bounty.

One of the devs explains that authentication or client/server exploits may earn more than $25,000. The studio says vulnerabilities likely to rank as critical include unauthenticated RCEs, mass data breaches, and full account takeovers.
