The Humanity Protocol, often called the "Chinese Worldcoin," was hit by a private key compromise that has stripped more than $30 million and sent its H token sharply lower. Founder and CEO Terence Kwok said private keys belonging to a member of the Humanity Foundation were compromised and urged users not to interact with the bridge or any liquidity pools until they are declared safe, adding the team is working with security experts.

Onchain investigator Specter said wallets linked to, or that have interacted with, Humanity Protocol appear to be the target of an ongoing attack. Arkham Intelligence reported the exploiter stole more than $30 million and has been swapping H tokens through Kyber Network, PancakeSwap and other decentralized exchanges.

CoinGecko data shows the H token fell about 85% in roughly 12 hours, sliding from around $0.70 to $0.08. Humanity is a zkEVM blockchain-based decentralized identity project focused on Proof of Humanity that uses privacy-preserving palm biometrics.
