Hugh Jackman's 'The Sheep Detectives' Tops Prime Video Worldwide

Hugh Jackman's film The Sheep Detectives has become one of Prime Video’s biggest new arrivals. The movie debuted on the platform on June 24, 2026, and quickly climbed to No. 1 worldwide on FlixPatrol, also holding the top spot in the U.S. and U.K. and ranking highly in markets including Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France and India.

Adapted from Leonie Swann’s 2005 novel Three Bags Full, the family-friendly mystery follows George, a shepherd who reads detective fiction to his flock. When George is found dead, the sheep apply the lessons they’ve learned from whodunits to investigate his death; Jackman plays the shepherd at the center of the story.

The film pairs a live-action ensemble—Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau and Emma Thompson—with a voice cast that includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey and Brett Goldstein.
